Sizdah Bedar (13th Farvardin) is the last day of Nowruz holidays and Nature Day. On this day, Iranians go outdoors into nature and release the Haft-Sin sprouts into running water.

Tasua, the 9th of Muharram, is the day before Ashura and commemorates the loyalty of Hazrat Abbas. Mourning ceremonies are held across Iran on this day.

Ashura of Hussain

Ashura, the 10th of Muharram, is the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein and his companions at Karbala in 680 CE. Ashura is the most important mourning day for Shia Muslims worldwide and an official holiday in Iran.
